adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Trick was successfully rehomed! His story: The approximately 4-month-old Trick is looking forward to his new life – by your side?! Trick is a very playful and friendly tomcat. His friendly nature enchants both humans and cats. Trick would be happy if a cat roommate were waiting for him in his new home. Should that not be the case, he will definitely take one of his friends from the foster home with him into his new life! Also, Trick can do without being released, but he would certainly be happy about a secure balcony where he can bask in the sun on his belly. Trick is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and was tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He also has an EU pet passport and is now ready to travel to his new home. Many thanks to Sabine G. This cat needs outdoor access.

Sollte das nicht der Fall sein, nimmt er bestimmt eines seiner Freunde aus der Pflegestelle mit in sein neues Leben! About Trick

What life with Trick looks like

Trick is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Trick, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Trick?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Trick on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Trick if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Trick already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Trick isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Trick and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
