Triky

Male · Senior · 11 years

TRIKY is a little happy dog. He was allowed to leave the killing station in Spain to travel to a foster home in Germany. Here it becomes clear that TRIKY is a unique and special dog. TRIKY loves movement and running. With his lively nature, TRIKY explores his new living environment with curiosity. But the dog is also very people-oriented and likes to move around as a shadow of his person. The handsome TRIKY loves cuddle time and can be particularly lovable. His person may touch him anywhere. Visitors are welcome and TRIKY allows himself to be petted by them. Learning is no problem for TRIKY - he learns quickly and also wants to learn. For treats, TRIKY would even "die". The Bodeguero male enjoys going on discovery trips with HIS person. When meeting other dogs, sympathy decides. We have no information about TRIKY's past. TRIKY shows one or two peculiarities: it sometimes happens that he snaps around without any apparent reason. However, he calms down quickly again. He really doesn't like putting on the harness and shows his dissatisfaction unmistakably. However, the dog accepts the collar with a leash. For TRIKY, we are looking for a loving and experienced dog home. It should be quiet and located in the countryside. The presence of a secure garden is a prerequisite for the

About Triky

What life with Triky looks like

Triky is a small senior dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Triky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Triky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Triky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Triky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Triky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Triky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Triky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
