TRINI

Mixed Breed · Female

A TRINI was found by a volunteer on the Cami dels Mestrets with clear signs of abandonment and extreme malnutrition. She is very confident in herself. Sometimes, she is wary of people she doesn't know, but she quickly adapts and becomes affectionate. She walks very well in quiet environments, loves using her sense of smell to explore. Although socialization with new people would need to be worked on, she loves spending time with other dogs as she is very sociable and playful. Special note: gastrointestinal. She is neutered, spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed. She has Leishmania and takes half a 300 mg alopurinol tablet in the morning and at night. She also takes a Condrovet tablet for medium breeds. We are looking for an adoption home for TRINI with a family that can dedicate all the love and attention she needs.

About TRINI

What life with TRINI looks like

TRINI is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Huellas Callejeras in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting TRINI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TRINI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Huellas Callejeras handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TRINI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TRINI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Huellas Callejeras will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TRINI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TRINI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Huellas Callejeras early rather than rehoming privately; they know TRINI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
