Trinity

Female · Young · 3 years

Trinity is a mixed breed dachshund, 3 years old, spayed. Trinity belongs to dogs that were taken away by KVS due to unsuitable breeding conditions. Now the original owner has already given up on them, so we can look for a new home for them. We would like the interested person to be from Zlín and the surrounding area, so that Trinity can visit regularly first. She is a very friendly and contactable female dog, a bit shy during the first week of stay, but now greets everyone passing by. She is in kennel run with another dog, a terrier, and they get along very well. She is also problem-free with females in the area and gladly welcomes the presence of another dog. Upon intake, she was undernourished, but in the first month gained almost 4 kilograms. Interested people will be informed about the current health status. She still does not have hygiene habits, defecates and urinates especially in the kennel run. Here, the new owner has a lot of work ahead, to teach her hygiene, she gladly goes on walks around the shelter with volunteers.

CS·Show original

Stále nemá hygienické návyky, kálí a močí zejména v kotci. Tady čeká nového majitele hodně práce, naučit jí hygieně, ráda vyrazí na procházku do okolí útulku s dobrovolníky.

About Trinity

What life with Trinity looks like

Trinity is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Útulek Zlín-Vršava in Zlín-Zlín 12.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Trinity, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Trinity?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Zlín-Vršava handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Trinity on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Trinity if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Zlín-Vršava will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Trinity already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Trinity isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Zlín-Vršava early rather than rehoming privately; they know Trinity and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
