How to adopt a dog? Trufa arrived at our shelter with her daughter Brownie after their legal guardian, following the DANA, acknowledged they could no longer meet their basic needs. Both were in an extreme state of emaciation and clear neglect. It was a difficult situation, but it allowed Trufa to have the chance to start anew. Despite what she has lived through, Trufa is a loving, trusting, and very affectionate dog. She enjoys human contact and forms bonds easily. She has medium energy, enjoys walks, and spending time with people. With basic training and adaptation, she will integrate without difficulty into a new home. As for cohabitation, she gets along well with other dogs and people. She has not yet been tested with cats. Trufa needs special food and is currently undergoing treatment with Librela for her hip dysplasia, as well as taking condroprotectors for her joint care. Her treatment is part of her routine and allows her to maintain a good quality of life. Her story reflects how unforeseen circumstances can change everything, but also the importance of acting responsibly when it is no longer possible. Ambas se encontraban en un estado de extrema delgadez y con una evidente falta de cuidados. Fue una situación difícil, pero permitió que Trufa tuviera la oportunidad de empezar de nuevo. A pesar de lo vivido, Trufa es una perra cariñosa, confiada y muy faldera. Disfruta del contacto humano y crea vínculos con facilidad. Tiene una energía media, le gusta pasear y compartir tiempo con las personas. Con unas pautas básicas de educación y adaptación, se integrará sin dificultad en un nuevo hogar. En cuanto a convivencia, se lleva bien con perros y con personas. Con gatos aún no ha sido testada.
