Tucker

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 6 months

I am Tucker! I was found and am now in the animal shelter looking for a home where I can grow, discover the world and experience many wonderful adventures. With my about six months I still have a lot of energy in my luggage! I am lively, playful and incredibly people-oriented. I just love cuddles, strokes and any other form of attention. I am happiest in the middle of the action and I am happy when someone is busy with me. After all, there is still so much to discover in my young cat life! I get along well with other cats and I really want a suitable cat friend or girlfriend of my age. Playing, wrestling, romping and then falling asleep together is just part of cat life for me. I am currently showing no health problems. For my new home I wish for loving people who have a lot of time for me and the desire to accompany me as I grow up. A cat of the same age is a must, because even though I love my humans very much, no human can replace a same-age cat buddy. Are you looking for a cuddly, playful young tomcat who brings fresh air to your home? Then please contact the animal shelter. I am looking forward to getting to know you!Your Tucker

DE·Show original

Dein Tucker

About Tucker

What life with Tucker looks like

Tucker is a large kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tucker, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tucker?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tucker on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tucker if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tucker already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tucker isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tucker and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
