Adopt Tulipan

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Description Our animal welfare workers report: Tulipán, Azalea, and Petunia are the babies of Genovesa, whom we rescued just before birth from the streets. Our super mom has been tenderly caring for them, and now the little ones are strong enough to move into their own home. Tulipán is a beautiful tiger-striped cat with a high white content that immediately captivates anyone she meets. Playful and curious, she wanders around her much too small run and is nevertheless a cheerful kitten. Tulipán hasn't learned much about the human world yet, but she knows exactly what a life of love and security feels like. This is something her caring mother has given her, ensuring she had a good start in life. Tulipán did not have to share the fate of many kittens who were separated from their mother too soon. She is now ready to claim the throne of a "Princess of the House" and seek out a home with a corresponding "castle" where she can purr around and unfold her potential. Who will open their heart to this delicate tiger-striped beauty and give her a home where she can grow, play, and be loved? The cat featured here comes from an animal shelter that still houses many other animals. For these animals, we are searching for loving and secure homes. The descriptions are brief because there simply isn't time for detailed descriptions during the daily work of caring for all the animals. If you are interested, a more detailed description can be requested. Please send your questions directly via email to the provided address. We will try to answer them as soon as possible. Home Sought For Tulipan we are searching for a loving, understanding home. Our cats come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with an EU passport, ready for their new home. They are also tested for FELV/FIV. We look forward to your contact.

About Tulipan

What life with Tulipan looks like

Tulipan is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tulipan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tulipan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tulipan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tulipan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tulipan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tulipan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tulipan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
