Tundra (w)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 4 years

The blonde girl Tundra has been overlooked so far. Why? We really don't know. 🤷‍♀️ A wonderful doggirl now finally searching for her family. 🍭 Tundra lives in the private animal shelter ADOR in Botosani. She has been there since she was a puppy. Although she hasn't had the "luck" of living in a public animal shelter under the worst conditions, it has been hard. 🍭 For four years now, she has only known her kennel. While there is an exercise area, it is logistically extremely time-consuming to alternate dogs into the exercise area. Both time and personnel are in short supply. 😕 🍭 Tundra is a friendly and cheerful dog lady. She loves people very, very much—whether her familiar caregivers or strangers who occasionally drop by. She greets everyone with a wagging tail, curiously, and always with good spirits. 🍭 Other dogs are no problem for her either. And snuggling and a little attention are her highlights in the dull animal shelter everyday life.

About Tundra (w)

What life with Tundra (w) looks like

Tundra (w) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tundra (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tundra (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tundra (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tundra (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tundra (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tundra (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tundra (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
