Tyno

Labrador Retriever · Male · Adult · 7 years

Tyno is a sweet 7.5-year-old Labrador/Basset mix who arrived at the shelter from the pound. Unfortunately, he was found unidentified and in a state of significant emaciation. Since his arrival, he has slowly gained weight, and we are happy to see him regaining his strength. Tyno is a small dog who currently weighs about 15 kg. He is a very affectionate dog who particularly enjoys belly rubs and following humans everywhere they go. A true little clingy who just wants to share beautiful moments with his future family! My character: Tyno also loves his little comfort. He loves lounging in his cozy bed and enjoying moments of tranquility. But beware, he also has a playful side: plush toys are among his favorite toys! He is also a big foodie, with a particular weakness for knacki pieces. In terms of discoveries, Tyno is starting to discover walks with a lot of emotion. Very observant, he takes the time to look, smell and discover this world that is offered to him. He seems to appreciate each new experience and only wants to continue his discoveries with his future family. He is also very comfortable in the car, a great companion to accompany you on your adventures! I like / I don't like: In terms of getting along, Tyno gets along very well with other dogs and is also OK with cats. A family with children could perfectly suit him, as long as they respect his space and his tranquility. Tyno still has so many beautiful things to discover! After a start in life that unfortunately led him to us, we hope he can finally settle in a loving home, where he can regain his strength, enjoy his comfort and receive all the affection he deserves.

About Tyno

What life with Tyno looks like

Tyno is an adult labrador retriever dog waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tyno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tyno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tyno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tyno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tyno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tyno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tyno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
