Adopt TYSON

Jack Russell Terrier · Male · Adult · 4 years

Lulu is a small dog with a very difficult past but despite that, he has a playful and affectionate character. He loves all humans and greets them eagerly from the first meeting. Inside, he is adorable and knows how to be alone for several hours. He is very well-behaved, especially if given something to chew on. He does not destroy things and plays with his own toys and stuffed animals. He likes to take a nap in the sun on the sofa. He is housebroken and currently eats dry kibble that is suitable for him; he will not steal food from your plate if you leave it lying around but will gladly accept a small piece if you offer it to him. Outside, he is fearful of loud children and other animals of the same species and does not like cats. He is currently undergoing treatment to reduce his anxiety. On walks, he is very vigilant and shows himself very reactive and stressed in noisy environments or when encountering dogs and cats. However, with good introductions and in a safe environment, he cohabitates without problems with other animals of the same species. He really enjoys walking, running, and playing like any Parson Russell. An appropriate environment for him would be in the countryside with few stress factors, because once he is familiar with a garden and a house, he knows how to relax and reconnect with you. This little puppy has already made great progress in his foster family but will still need patience and work on his hypervigilance, and the countryside is the ideal environment for him to make even more progress! About TYSON

What life with TYSON looks like

TYSON is a small adult jack russell terrier dog waiting at Moustaches et Compagnie in moustaches et compagnie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting TYSON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TYSON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Moustaches et Compagnie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TYSON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TYSON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Moustaches et Compagnie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TYSON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TYSON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Moustaches et Compagnie early rather than rehoming privately; they know TYSON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
