Adopt Ungkatter koloni

Mixed Breed · Unknown

We have a group of kittens (between 6 and 10 months) from a colony. Background: These kittens have not grown up with human contact as they were born outdoors. With humans: So far these kittens are very fearful of humans and seek no contact. With other animals: All the kittens get along with other cats. We don't know about dogs. Activity level and training: These kittens will be active as they grow, but you should expect them to hide for a while before they feel comfortable playing/interacting with humans.

About Ungkatter koloni

What life with Ungkatter koloni looks like

Ungkatter koloni is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at FOD in Oslo.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ungkatter koloni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ungkatter koloni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. FOD handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ungkatter koloni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ungkatter koloni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — FOD will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ungkatter koloni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ungkatter koloni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with FOD early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ungkatter koloni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
