To change that and to make sure Unser ehrenamtlicher Helfer im Einsatz … doesn't just stand around and get bored, he is being trained for work with wheelchair users. Unser ehrenamtlicher Helfer im Einsatz … is learning about handling horses and is experiencing what it means to lead a horse through a course and to communicate with it. Today was their first real training session, and both – Unser ehrenamtlicher Helfer im Einsatz … and Unser ehrenamtlicher Helfer im Einsatz … – completed it as if they had been doing it for ages. Heute möchten wir vom gemeinsamen Training unseres ehrenamtlichen Helfers Dominik und seines Patenponys Filou berichten. Dominik ist zwei Mal in der Woche bei uns. Er hilft uns bei der Arbeit mit den Katzen und hat nun auch den Pferdestall für sich entdeckt. Shetty-Wallach Filou ist 25 Jahre alt und bekommt bei uns sein Gnadenbrot. In seinem ganzen Leben hat er eigentlich nicht viel anderes gelernt, als auf der Wiese zu stehen und sich sein Bäuchlein rund zu futtern. Damit sich das ändert und Filou nicht nur herum steht und sich langweilt, wird er für die Arbeit im Umgang mit Rollstuhlfahrern trainiert. Dominik erlernt den Umgang mit Pferden und erfährt dabei, was es heißt, ein Pferd durch einen Parcours zu führen und mit ihm zu kommunizieren. Heute war ihre erste richtige Übungseinheit, und Beide – Dominik und Filou – absolvierten sie, als würden sie es schon ewig machen. Wir sind echt stolz auf die Zwei!
