Ihre Geschichte: Urmel stammt aus einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe von Zalau. Dort lebte sie bei einem älteren Ehepaar, das über Jahre hinweg immer mehr Tiere aufgenommen hatte. Als die Frau schwer erkrankte und ins Koma fiel, stand der Mann plötzlich allein mit der Versorgung von zahlreichen Hunden und Katzen da und war damit völlig überfordert. Schritt für Schritt wurde entschieden zu helfen, Urmel durfte als eine der Ersten in unsere Obhut ziehen. Urmel zeigt sich als typische Seniorin: Sie liebt die Nähe zu Menschen, möchte dabei sein, gestreichelt werden und Aufmerksamkeit genießen. Großen Aktivitätsdrang hat sie keinen mehr, sie ist eher gemütlich unterwegs und begrüßt jeden freundlich. An Geschirr und Leine gewöhnt sie sich gut, braucht aber noch etwas Übung und Sicherheit in neuen Situationen. Mit anderen Hunden ist Urmel freundlich und unkompliziert. Zu Katzen liegen bisher keine Erfahrungen vor. Insgesamt wirkt sie wie eine eher einfache Begleiterin, die vor allem eines sucht: Ruhe, Zuwendung und einen festen Platz an der Seite ihrer Menschen. Urmel ist aktuell etwas übergewichtig und sollte in ihrem neuen Zuhause langsam und schonend abnehmen, mit angepasster Fütterung und kleinen, regelmäßigen Spaziergängen. Altersbedingt fehlen ihr einige Zähne, was sie aber im Alltag nicht besonders einschränkt. Urmel ist kastriert, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie besitzt einen EU-Heimtierausweis und wird nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 325 Euro vermittelt.
