Utah

Female · Adult · 4 years

Utah is a young mixed-breed dog born on July 14, 2022, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She weighs 23.6 kg. She is very affectionate and cuddly with the humans she knows. It just takes a little time for her to trust them. However, she is not comfortable around young children. Utah is a "reactive" dog. When she arrived at our shelter, she reacted to dogs, humans, and all sorts of vehicles. She has made good progress, but she will remain vigilant in the external environment. She will need to live in the countryside, in a quiet environment. She is a very energetic dog who will need long walks every day. She has a very good recall, and when she is in an environment that allows for freedom, she is very pleasant to walk. If you enjoy mantrailing, this is the ideal dog for you. She excels in this activity that brings her joy. She must be the only dog in the home because she doesn't like to share her humans. However, she will have no trouble meeting other animals of the same species on walks. She can learn to coexist with cats accustomed to dogs. She knows how to be alone without making a mess or barking. She is clean. If you are interested, you can send us a motivated application by email and return the adoption form:

About Utah

What life with Utah looks like

Utah is a large adult dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Utah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Utah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Utah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Utah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Utah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Utah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Utah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
