Vacsog

Mixed Breed · Male

FOSTER PARENTS NEEDED! If you stop in front of Vacsog's kennel, you will see a medium-sized, brown, short-haired dog who is a bit shyly trying to get attention. If you take him for a walk, you will feel that he is the "Big Dog," who is attentive, kind, affectionate, and who naturally fits into the human's life, and it is very pleasant to be with him, because he is so calming and, if it were up to him, he would be with you for the rest of his life. If you choose him, you will get a companion, a friend, who would be happier for you than anyone else, just because you are there for him, and he is there for you. If you give him a chance and spend some time together in the woods, he would initially be shy, but even in shyness, he would radiate something that makes one choose this dog as a companion. Vacsog is a fairy who has been quietly waiting for a chance for years. Would you be his chance? Vacsog is a neutered male dog born in January 2016. We really hope that in the second half of his life, he can experience what it means to be a real beloved dog, because all the love inside him is waiting to be received. You can meet Vacsog on the weekend open days, take a walk in the Csévharaszti forest, or just be together. Phone number: 06-20-543-5092.

VACSOG GAZDIT KERES!

About Vacsog

What life with Vacsog looks like

Vacsog is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Luca Kutyamenedék in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vacsog, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vacsog?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luca Kutyamenedék handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vacsog on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vacsog if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luca Kutyamenedék will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vacsog already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vacsog isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luca Kutyamenedék early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vacsog and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
