Vagabond

Male · Adult · 4 years

Vagabond was part of our free-roaming cats at our area. Accustomed to outdoor life, he was taken in by the association due to a chronic cat flu and significant weight loss. Since then, he has been able to receive proper care and be made safe. His health condition is now stabilized, but he requires regular follow-up. Vagabond is also a carrier of FIV and now presents with hypertension, for which he follows lifelong treatment, which he takes very easily. No veterinary fees or expenses related to his specific diet will be expected: the association covers this. Vagabond is an endearing cat who has experienced outdoor life while also interacting with humans daily. He appreciates human presence without being intrusive and will find his place with calm and kind people. Habituated to seeing children in his living environment, he can cohabit with them if they are respectful and attentive to his pace. Due to his fragility, our priority is to find Vagabond a long-term foster family capable of offering him a stable, secure environment, and one that respects his specific needs. If his story touches you, do not hesitate to visit our dedicated page to learn more about the role of a foster family. Vagabond seeks a quiet home where he can live in peace and benefit from the stability he needs. A peaceful environment is essential for his well-being. It will be preferable for him to be the only cat in the home, to limit any source of stress. The presence of children is possible, provided they are gentle and respectful. His hypertension treatment must be continued daily, a simple gesture he accepts very well, allowing him to live comfortably today. Vagabond deserves today a peaceful place to finally settle. If you wish to offer him this stability and accompany him gently, come to meet him or contact us for more information.

About Vagabond

What life with Vagabond looks like

Vagabond is a large adult cat waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vagabond, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vagabond?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vagabond on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vagabond if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vagabond already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vagabond isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vagabond and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
