Vale

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

This little girl didn’t have an easy start in life. She was born on the street after her mom gave birth to four puppies there. Unfortunately, three of her siblings didn’t make it—she’s the only survivor from that litter. Together with her mom, she was able to find safety in time and is now being lovingly cared for. The little female puppy is currently exploring the world with great curiosity. She’s a cheerful, affectionate pup who deserves the chance to lead a secure life in her own forever home. We’re looking for a family who will show her—with patience, love, and understanding—just how wonderful a dog’s life can be. She longs to grow, play, learn, and become a loyal companion for her people. As soon as Vale is old enough and has received all the necessary vaccinations, she’ll be ready to begin her journey to her new home. Until then, she’ll continue to be lovingly supported and prepared for her new life. Who will give this little fighter’s heart a home and accompany her on her path to a happy doggy life?

About Vale

What life with Vale looks like

Vale is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Glückshunde Schweiz in Glueckshunde.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vale, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vale?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glückshunde Schweiz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vale on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vale if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glückshunde Schweiz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vale already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vale isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glückshunde Schweiz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vale and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
