Vanille et Chocolatine

Female · Baby · 8 months

Chocolatine and Vanille are an adorable pair of rabbits, approximately 4 years old. Chocolatine is a female and Vanille is a neutered male. They are accustomed to living together. In their previous home, they had a yard where they could roam semi-free. Although this space was not ideal and did not have grass, they were used to being able to move around and stretch their legs. We hope that Chocolatine and Vanille can continue their lives together. Their future family should provide them with a real living space, large enough to allow them to run, explore, rest, and interact with each other. Their ideal home: Adoption together. A large enclosure and semi-free living. Space to run and explore. An enriched environment with hiding places and activities. Adopters who know the needs of rabbits.

FR·Show original

About Vanille et Chocolatine

What life with Vanille et Chocolatine looks like

Vanille et Chocolatine is a puppy/kitten rabbit waiting at SRPA Veeweyde Brussels in Brussels.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vanille et Chocolatine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vanille et Chocolatine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SRPA Veeweyde Brussels handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vanille et Chocolatine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vanille et Chocolatine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SRPA Veeweyde Brussels will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vanille et Chocolatine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vanille et Chocolatine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SRPA Veeweyde Brussels early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vanille et Chocolatine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
