Adopt Vasya (Вася)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

This is our Vasyenka, a young kitten who, like many others, ended up without a home. At first glance, he seems unremarkable, with a black coat that is not the most eye-catching or popular among cats. But if you take a closer look at him, and even better, get to know him and hold him in your arms, you will realize that although many of them may seem "all the same," they each have their own differences, just like people - by their character, habits, a white spot on their belly, a shine in their fur in the sunlight, the color of their eyes, or the tone of their purring, which is a sign that they completely trust you. And Vasyenka has his own unique characteristics - he simply loves sitting in your arms, he is extremely kind and funny, a gentle and sweet boy, who likes to play with a ball and a fishing rod. His unique black fur is so soft and silky that you won't want to let go! Our Vasyenka is 7 months old, he is litter trained, neutered, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms. The cat is tidy, clean, and well-mannered. Don't pass by Vasyenka, give him a chance to be noticed and become a beloved pet, so he can finally stop being sad in his cage and become a full-fledged member of the family.

About Vasya (Вася)

What life with Vasya (Вася) looks like

Vasya (Вася) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv in Ukraine.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vasya (Вася), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vasya (Вася)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vasya (Вася) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vasya (Вася) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vasya (Вася) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vasya (Вася) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vasya (Вася) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
