Vega

Male · Baby

Age (approximate): 1 year (02.2026). MCH - 9901021000152806 ; ). Mixed breed; country of origin - Latvia. Health status - no health problems observed. Additional information: short-haired, vaccinated, spayed. A small galaxy still waiting for its great discoverer. Vega is a 7-month-old female kitten - the sister of Waffle and Vito. Like her brother and sister, she is currently timid and insecure. Not because she has nothing to give to a person, but because she has not yet encountered those loving hearts and secure hands that would instill confidence in the little cat: everything will be fine with me. Vega is the owner of a beautiful gray-white coat with large, very expressive eyes. There is still a little caution and fear in them, but we know that a day will come when they will be replaced by curiosity, playful enthusiasm, and that special cat's joy of life. And the person who will be able to ignite this sparkle, Vega will open a whole new galaxy with her character, affection, playfulness, and those small everyday moments for which a cat becomes a real and irreplaceable member of the family. Vega has grown and lived indoors. We are looking for a home with a calm atmosphere, so we do not recommend adoption at this time for families with young children and other pets. Maybe you have the secure hands where Vega can finally stop being afraid and just be a cat. Information posted on 27.08.2026.

Vecums (aptuvenais): 1 gads (02.2026.).

Adopting Vega, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vega?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vega on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Vega if I live in another country?

Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.

Is Vega already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme directly what is included and what Vega still needs.

What happens if Vega isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vega and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (LV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
