We got into a mess with the "cottage" cats. Do you remember them? They were taken care of by a man who died, and the widow couldn't live with them because of her cancer diagnosis. We thought their beautiful appearance would lead to a quick adoption, but that wasn't true and the cats had already experienced everything possible by then. After the first vaccination, they developed feline panleukopenia, which meant daily treatment that they really didn't like. They also didn't like their room, so by the end of the treatment they were scared and even scratched themselves. These were cats used to running in the forest, not sitting still in a room. In an effort to improve their conditions a bit, we moved them to a more suitable room and it helped. We waited for a while until we could observe what Vera would be like, the cat has already started to get used to it, so we can officially say that she is looking for a home. Before Vera came back to the shelter again, she lived in her new home, but something must have not suited her there, so she came back to us after two years. Of course, we accepted the cat, she just had bad luck. Vera was returned with the note that she chews everywhere and doesn't show affection, but she doesn't have such problems with us, so she must have had some conflict at home. Still, this will require a patient and especially experienced family for Veru. We know that Vera is a beautiful gray cat who attracts the attention of everyone, but we don't want to have her back in the shelter in a few months. Vera likes another cat, when she becomes friends with one, it gives her confidence, so it would benefit her in a new home. Sometimes she shows affection, sometimes she's afraid, she's just a sensitive cat who needs a sensitive approach and space to find her way to you.

U koček "z chaty" jsme se dost spletli. Pamatujete si na ně? Staral se o ně pán, který zemřel a pozůstalá paní s nimi nemohla bydlet kvůli onkologické diagnóze. Mysleli, jsme, že jim jejich krásný vzhled zařídí brzkou adopci, ale nebyla to pravda a kočky si mezitím už zažily všechno možné. Po prvním očkování u nich vypukla kaliciviróza, což znamenalo každodenní ošetřování, které se jim vůbec nelíbilo. Stejně tak se jim nelíbilo v jejich pokoji, takže ke konci léčby už se strachy i počůrávali, byly to kočky zvyklé běhat v lese, ne sedět na místě v pokoji. Ve snaze jim trochu zlepšit podmínky jsme je přesunuli do vhodnější místnosti a pomohlo to. Čekali jsme nějakou dobu, než zvládneme vypozorovat, jaká Vera vlastně bude, kočička už si trochu zvykla, tak oficiálně můžeme vyhlásit, že hledá domov. Předtím, než se opět Vera dostala do útulku, žila ve svém novém domově, kde se jí ovšem asi něco nelíbilo, takže se po dvou letech z adopce k nám vrátila. Kočičku jsme samozřejmě přijali, měla prostě smůlu. Vera byla vrácená s tím, že všude čůrá a nemazlí se, takové problémy u nás nemá, takže musela s něčím mít doma konflikt. I tak to bude chtít pro Veru trpělivou a hlavně zkušenou rodinu. Víme, že je Vera krásná šedá kočička, která vzbuzuje zájem všech možných lidí, ale neradi bychom ji zase měli za pár měsíců zpátky v útulku. Vera má ráda další kočičky, když se s ní kamarádí, dodává jí to jistotu, takže to by jí v novém domově prospělo. Někdy se mazlí, někdy se bojí, je to prostě citlivá kočička, která potřebuje citlivý přístup a prostor, aby si k vám našla cestu.
