Adopt verschiedene Kleinhunde

Papillon · Male · Puppy · 4 months

The little dogs in this group are almost all Papillon mixes. They haven't experienced much of the world so far, as they come from an animal hoarding case. Therefore, you should be prepared to teach them everything anew, just as you would with a puppy. They don’t yet know how to walk on a leash and are not reliably house-trained. Some of the dogs are initially wary of strangers, but the group also includes very friendly, people-oriented animals. Since they have lived together with many other dogs until now, it would certainly be beneficial for them if there were a confident, well-adjusted only dog in their new home whom they could look up to. Of course, this dog would need to match them in size and temperament. If you're interested in one of these little dogs, we’d be happy to meet you in person and figure out together which dog might be the best fit for you. Please send us a general inquiry by email first. In your message, please describe your living situation as precisely as possible so we can get a clear picture and suggest suitable options when we meet. If you’re interested in one of our dogs, please contact us preferably by email. Please describe in your message how the dog would live with you and include a phone number. A caregiver from our shelter will then get in touch with you. Descriptions of the animals are based on observations at the animal shelter or on information provided by third parties and do not constitute guaranteed characteristics.

About verschiedene Kleinhunde

What life with verschiedene Kleinhunde looks like

verschiedene Kleinhunde is a puppy/kitten papillon dog waiting at Tierheim Leipzig in Leipzig.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting verschiedene Kleinhunde, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about verschiedene Kleinhunde?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Leipzig handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw verschiedene Kleinhunde on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt verschiedene Kleinhunde if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Leipzig will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is verschiedene Kleinhunde already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if verschiedene Kleinhunde isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Leipzig early rather than rehoming privately; they know verschiedene Kleinhunde and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
