Vigeta

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 8 months

Name: Vigeta Breed: EKH Gender: female Age: approx. July 2025 In the shelter since: November 29, 2025 Since Vigeta is still young and playful, she doesn't want to spend her life as a solitary cat. She’s looking for a feline companion of roughly the same age—either a male or female cat of similar maturity. It would also be lovely if a suitable velvet paw were already waiting for her in her new home. When playing, Vigeta can sometimes get a bit rambunctious and even uses her claws. That’s why we’re looking for a home without small children for her. This lady cat with the serious gaze will be rehomed exclusively as an indoor cat. She’d be thrilled about having a secure balcony, where she could observe her surroundings, enjoy fresh air, and soak up some relaxing sunbeams. If you’d like to give a young, cheerful cat a safe and loving home—and already have a suitable feline companion or are considering adopting a second cat—then you absolutely should get to know Vigeta. General information about the adoption process: If you’re interested in one of our cats, please send us an inquiry via the contact form for the respective cat. Please include the following information right away: - Are you looking for a free-roaming cat or an indoor cat? - For free-roamers: Is a cat flap available? - For indoor cats: How big is the apartment? - How many people live in the household? - Do children live in the house? If so, how many and what are their ages? - Are there other animals living in the house? If so, which ones? - What is the living situation (house or apartment? Which floor? Garden?)- How many hours would the cat be left alone each day in total? - What is your year of birth? We’ll get in touch with all interested parties who’ve sent us an inquiry as soon as possible. Do you have a question about this animal? Feel free to call us: Thursdays and Fridays from 3–5 p.m. and Saturdays from 2–5 p.m. Or write to us: Some of our residents may need a little extra patience when finding the right home—whether due to illness, age, or special personality traits. To make their time with us as pleasant as possible, we rely on the financial support of animal lovers. By taking on a sponsorship, you’ll help us cover the daily and medical care as well as the accommodation of our animals. Sponsorships are available starting at a monthly contribution of 10 euros. Of course, you’re also free to set the amount of your contribution yourself. As a thank-you, you’ll receive a custom-designed sponsor certificate and will be mentioned as a sponsor both on our website and on our Facebook page.

About Vigeta

What life with Vigeta looks like

Vigeta is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at BMT Tierheim Pfullingen in Pfullingen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vigeta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vigeta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. BMT Tierheim Pfullingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vigeta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vigeta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — BMT Tierheim Pfullingen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vigeta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vigeta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with BMT Tierheim Pfullingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vigeta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
