Once my former owner bought me as a small, unregistered kitten, "for herself," not for shows. I later proved to be good enough for breeding, at least for a while. There were several other cats in our home that were very similar to me - also brown. Some of them, who no longer suited the owner or behaved to her liking, for unknown reasons, she took away in the quiet hours of the night, never to return. It went smoothly for her, because none of us were chipped, and we, the unnecessary adult cats, could be easily gotten rid of. Then, when the owner left the house with one of the little children downstairs by the staircase or took them to the gas station, she returned in high spirits and with money in her pocket.

Reiz bijusī saimniece mani nopirka kā mazu kaķēnu bez ciltrakstiem, “priekš sevis”, nevis izstādēm. Pavairošanai gan es vēlāk izrādījos gana labs, vismaz uz kādu laiku. Mūsu mājās bija vēl vairāki citi man ļoti līdzīgi kaķi- arī brūni. Dažus, kas vairs saimniecei dēļ man nezināmiem iemesliem vairs nederēja vai neuzvedās viņai pa prātam, viņa klusās nakts stundās aizveda prom uz neatgriešanos. Viņai tas gāja no rokas, jo neviens no mums nebija čipēts, no mums- liekajiem pieaugušajiem kaķiem varēja vieglu roku atbrīvoties. Tad, kad saimniece no mājām izgāja ar kādu no mazajiem bērniņiem turpat lejā pie kāpņutelpas vai aizveda viņus līdz benzīntankam, tad gan viņa atgriezās pacilātā garastāvoklī un ar naudu ķešā.
