Vinny

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

23.05.2019 A friendly elderly female dog named Vinny arrived at the shelter on Kiratsi. Initially, it was planned to return her to a foster home after sterilization, but after investigating the slight limp's possible causes, it became clear that Vinny had likely suffered a serious trauma, possibly from a car or someone's cruel hand. The disabled cannot be returned to the field, as the puppy got used to life there. Vinny is a gentle and easy-going companion, gets along well with other dogs, is not aggressive or fearful, and has no issues with heat or cold. His appetite is excellent, and he does not beg for food. People like him, especially those who pet his sides. Vinny is ideal for a retired person, as he does not bark, does not jump, does not lick, and is quiet and considerate, making him a safe and happy companion. Vinny is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, regularly receiving worming treatment. He goes home on a lease and with a sense of hope; interested parties should first complete the survey available here: If interested, write a message on FB messenger or call 58370708. Let's make an appointment and come to Vinny's! This solid and tough male dog is eagerly waiting with open paws. We cannot change the whole world, but we can give a second chance to an ex-farm dog, so yes, we can.

Inimene talle meeldib, eriti inimese käest saadavad paid.

About Vinny

What life with Vinny looks like

Vinny is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu in Kuressaare.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vinny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vinny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vinny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vinny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vinny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vinny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with MTÜ Saaremaa Lemmikloomade Turvakodu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vinny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
