Violeta is a beautiful brindle Galga, about two years old, who came to us together with her friend Dorita. Violeta and Dorita were surrendered by a hunter because they had no interest in coursing hunts. What initially sounds sad turned out to be their great good fortune, as now they can look forward to a future free from performance pressure and fear—and filled instead with love, security, and their own special place within a family. When Violeta arrived in February, she was diagnosed with heartworm infection. Heartworms are parasitic worms that can be transmitted by mosquitoes and, depending on the species, may affect the heart, lungs, or blood vessels. Such a diagnosis must always be taken seriously and treated by a veterinarian—exactly what happened immediately with Violeta. She received prompt care and the necessary treatment, and she has successfully navigated this challenging period. Today, Violeta is healthy and ready to start a new life. Violeta proves to be a curious, open-minded, and incredibly gentle dog. She approaches people in a friendly and interested manner, actively seeks human contact, and thoroughly enjoys affectionate attention. Her demeanor is gentle and tender, touching the heart quickly. She also shows herself to be cheerful and loving around children. Of course, as with any dog, we hope for respectful handling and people who can show children how to interact calmly and thoughtfully with a dog. Then Violeta will be able to fully express her friendly, soft side and build trust. With other dogs, Violeta is easygoing and social. She loves playing, happily engages in friendly canine interactions, and proves to be a delightful companion in mixed company. A confident first dog could certainly provide her with guidance in her new home—but it’s not an absolute requirement, provided her people have plenty of time, patience, and understanding. What’s important is that Violeta can settle in without feeling pressured. She needs people who can offer her security, accompany her with love, and gradually show her just how wonderful a dog’s life can be. As a Galga, Violeta brings many qualities that make these special sighthounds so endearing. Galgos are often surprisingly calm, gentle, and cozy indoors. They adore a soft bed, relaxed closeness, and clear, friendly routines. Outdoors, however, they reveal their athletic side. Galgos are elegant sprinting wonders—fast, agile, and full of joy when they’re allowed to move freely within a safe environment. They don’t need constant stimulation, but they do thrive on lovely walks, appropriate physical activity, and above all, secure opportunities to really stretch their legs. For Violeta, we wish for a loving home with people who’ll open their hearts to Galgos and appreciate her delicate soul. She’s curious, tender, people-oriented, friendly toward children, and socially compatible with other dogs. After everything she’s been through, it’s time for the future ahead of her to bring exactly what she truly deserves: a warm home, patient hands, reliable companionship, and a life where she can simply be Violeta.

Violeta ist eine wunderschöne gestromte Galga von etwa zwei Jahren, die gemeinsam mit ihrer Freundin Dorita zu uns kam. Ein Blick auf Doritas Profil lohnt sich übrigens auch sehr, wenn sie eine lustige und außergewöhnliche Freundin für ihre Familie suchen. Violeta und Dorita wurden von einem Jäger abgegeben, weil sie keine Lust auf Hetzjagden hatten. Was zunächst traurig klingt, wurde für die beiden zu ihrem großen Glück, denn nun dürfen sie auf eine Zukunft hoffen, die nicht von Leistung, Druck und Angst geprägt ist, sondern von Liebe, Sicherheit und einem eigenen Platz in einer Familie. Als Violeta im Februar ankam, wurde bei ihr ein Filarienbefall festgestellt. Filarien sind parasitäre Würmer, die durch Mücken übertragen werden können und je nach Art Herz, Lunge oder Blutgefäße belasten können. Eine solche Diagnose muss immer ernst genommen und tierärztlich behandelt werden. Genau das ist bei Violeta sofort geschehen. Sie wurde direkt versorgt, bekam die notwendige Behandlung und hat diese Zeit gut hinter sich gebracht. Heute ist Violeta gesund und bereit, in ein neues Leben zu starten. Violeta zeigt sich als neugierige, aufgeschlossene und sehr zärtliche Hündin. Sie begegnet Menschen freundlich und interessiert, sucht den Kontakt und genießt liebevolle Zuwendung. Dabei hat sie eine sanfte Art, die schnell berührt. Auch mit Kindern zeigt sie sich fröhlich und liebevoll. Natürlich wünschen wir uns, wie für jeden Hund, einen respektvollen Umgang und Menschen, die Kindern zeigen, wie man einem Hund ruhig und achtsam begegnet. Dann kann Violeta ihre freundliche, weiche Seite wunderbar zeigen und Vertrauen schenken. Mit anderen Hunden ist Violeta umgänglich und sozial. Sie spielt gern, lässt sich auf freundliche Hundekontakte ein und zeigt sich als angenehme Begleiterin im Miteinander. Ein souveräner Ersthund könnte ihr im neuen Zuhause sicher Orientierung geben, ist aber keine zwingende Voraussetzung, wenn ihre Menschen genügend Zeit, Geduld und Verständnis mitbringen. Wichtig ist, dass Violeta ankommen darf, ohne bedrängt zu werden. Sie braucht Menschen, die ihr Sicherheit geben, sie liebevoll begleiten und ihr Schritt für Schritt zeigen, wie schön ein Hundeleben sein kann. Als Galga bringt Violeta viele Eigenschaften mit, die diese besonderen Windhunde so liebenswert machen. Galgos sind im Haus oft erstaunlich ruhig, sanft und gemütlich. Sie lieben ein weiches Körbchen, entspannte Nähe und klare, freundliche Abläufe. Draußen zeigen sie dagegen ihre athletische Seite. Galgos sind elegante Sprintwunder, schnell, wendig und voller Lebensfreude, wenn sie sich in sicherem Rahmen bewegen dürfen. Sie brauchen keine dauernde Beschäftigung, aber schöne Spaziergänge, passende Auslastung und vor allem gesicherte Möglichkeiten, ihre Beine einmal richtig zu strecken. Für Violeta wünschen wir uns ein liebevolles Zuhause bei Menschen, die ihr Herz für Galgos und ihre feine Seele öffnen. Sie ist neugierig, zärtlich, menschenbezogen, freundlich zu Kindern und sozial mit anderen Hunden. Nach allem, was hinter ihr liegt, soll nun das vor ihr stehen, was sie wirklich verdient. Ein warmes Zuhause, geduldige Hände, verlässliche Menschen und ein Leben, in dem sie einfach Violeta sein darf.
