adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Violetta has found its own home! 82216 Maisach. Violetta is waiting in her foster home for you! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. The little Violetta is a sweet, white-blond beauty who desperately needs a wonderful home! Currently, Violetta and her sibling are in a public shelter in Baia Mare, and they wish to be seen and adopted by loving people as soon as possible. The pretty little girl-dog is here in safety, gets regular food, and has a dry sleeping place, but of course, that is not a natural life for a little one, because she needs attention, love, and training. Therefore, they should be rehomed as quickly as possible with responsible people who will take care of her and show her how wonderful life as a family dog can be. Even a foster home would make it easier for Violetta to start a new and happy dog life. Violetta is still very timid and cannot currently tolerate human proximity. She needs patient and empathetic people who can spend a lot of time with her to help her into her new life. The adjustment period will certainly be longer than usual. Violetta has attentive, dark eyes and soft, white fur with light brown spots. She is about four months old and will soon grow into a beautiful, rather small female dog who will surely draw many looks and bring joy to her person. But before deciding on a puppy, one should take a close look within and realize that its upbringing requires a lot of responsibility, time, and patience. And Violetta's puberty is already knocking on the door. This phase is an important life stage for every dog, where the owners' patience and understanding can be tested. But we are sure that Violetta will emerge from this phase confidently and develop into a reliable companion for her people through loving and consistent training. We wish Violetta loving and active adopters who will give her enough time and space to settle into her new living situation at her own pace. After the adjustment period, it is certainly advisable to enroll the pretty female dog in positive training classes, as shared training will strengthen her confidence and the bond to her people. Do you want to be the person who shows Violetta what a good dog life looks like? Then contact us! She is vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and will travel with an EU pet passport. Our special thanks go to the namesake Christine L., who gave Violetta her beautiful name.

About Violetta

What life with Violetta looks like

Violetta is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Violetta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Violetta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Violetta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Violetta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Violetta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Violetta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Violetta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
