Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ

Mixed Breed ยท Female ยท Young ยท 2 years

Viva was also callously abandoned and now suffers in the Shelter, where she has lived for 2 years on a short chain. The dear little heart has surely not done anything wrong, but she was with the wrong people, for whom the fur noses are not family members. The sweet one is happiest when we take her to the playground for a short visit. There she likes to run around with her buddies, occasionally comes for attention and cuddles, explores the surroundings, and enjoys her brief freedom. Unfortunately, the spayed female dog has to be re-chained after that. When we say goodbye, she looks at us so sadly and despondently. Viva needs nice and responsible people with lots of love, time, understanding, and patience. It would be great if a second dog could show her the beautiful life in the house and garden.

DEยทShow original

About Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ

What life with Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ looks like

Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hundehilfe Hinterland e.V. in Biedenkopf.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" โ€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures โ€” to let them settle.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ชAdopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between โ‚ฌ250 and โ‚ฌ450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hundehilfe Hinterland e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly โ€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad โ€” Tierschutzverein Hundehilfe Hinterland e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra โ‚ฌ100โ€“โ‚ฌ350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported โ€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work โ€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hundehilfe Hinterland e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Viva โ™€ ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฌ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect โ€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
