Vivalda

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Vivalda is a 2022-born female bull type dog who arrived from Monorierdő. She came from a breeding facility. Vivalda's spirit is broken, she is terrified of being touched and of being bathed, but she shows no aggressive behavior. It is clear that her body and mind have been exploited endlessly for years, she has been energetic. She hasn't received much good in her life...but now everything is about to change! We will do everything we can to earn her trust and show her that from now on, she will only receive affection and love from humans. We are still unfamiliar with her relationship with other dogs, but it would be wonderful if she were called to the protective home and could finally explore her environment. She has a long road ahead of her to leave her horrific past behind. Due to a legal proceeding, she is not yet adoptable. We are looking for a home with experience in breed recognition and dog ownership. We do not offer long-term custody or outdoor "decor"! Dog training is mandatory! Vivalda is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered and wishes to find a new, permanent family where she can finally be a family member.

About Vivalda

What life with Vivalda looks like

Vivalda is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Severe trauma from breeding mill background, requires extensive rehabilitation and experienced handler

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vivalda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vivalda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vivalda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vivalda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vivalda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vivalda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vivalda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
