Adopt VIVALDI – volato sul ponte

Cane Corso · Unknown

Ten years old. He is Blind and comes from a difficult situation. He spent his whole life confined in a cage, he has had no experiences of any kind. When he arrived at the dog shelter, he was described as an aggressive and dangerous dog that could bite. At first we took all the precautions and treated him with caution and distance ... But one day, when we dared to give him a cuddle, his expression changed completely: he melted and softened and from that moment on he was able to let down the mask he had built up only to protect himself. Despite the betrayal suffered by humans, he has not lost his trust and his will to live. We have done long Tellington TTouch sessions and offered environmental enrichment in the box. After initial resistance and fear, he finally went for a walk and now we have the opposite problem: he doesn't want to go back anymore! Who can stop him now? Now when we go to see him, it's a party, he loves being with people and being cuddled for hours. He has an uncontrollable cheerfulness and friendliness, and we are still amazed today how possible it is given his past. Despite everything, he trusts people. We have so much to learn from them! In the photo he looks good waiting for the lucky one who will choose to spend his life with him.. and Vivaldi can't wait any longer to finally start the life he deserves, he is waiting for you at the dog shelter!

About VIVALDI – volato sul ponte

What life with VIVALDI – volato sul ponte looks like

VIVALDI – volato sul ponte is a adult cane corso dog waiting at Rifugio del Gazzo in Genova.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting VIVALDI – volato sul ponte, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about VIVALDI – volato sul ponte?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rifugio del Gazzo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw VIVALDI – volato sul ponte on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt VIVALDI – volato sul ponte if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rifugio del Gazzo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is VIVALDI – volato sul ponte already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if VIVALDI – volato sul ponte isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rifugio del Gazzo early rather than rehoming privately; they know VIVALDI – volato sul ponte and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
