Warning: Heartbreaker! Linos was in a very bad condition when the community helpers picked him up from the island vet to bring him to the intake shelter. Starving to the bone, he apparently spent the first months of his young life on the street hoping to be fed by tourists or to find scraps in the island's trash cans. In the first weeks at the intake shelter, the pretty young puppy barely moved from his spot, remained frozen in his enclosure, and wouldn't let anyone touch him. Huddled in the far corner, he hoped for worse. But slowly, Linos gained trust in the helpers who spoke to him well and fed him daily. Linos recovered well. He put on weight and ran around the shelter grounds with the other dogs at the intake shelter, always friendly and in good spirits. A very nice fellow, a bit reserved, but he lets himself be petted and is happy about every visit. Linos is now allowed to enter Germany. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Linos is currently housed in a small, family-run animal shelter in Kelheim and can be visited there. If you are interested in Linos, please send an email with your personal information and phone number to the shelter manager Nadine Bahr: . More dogs are looking for a home... Mia San wants a quiet dog bed for herself. Maya wants her own home. Milly has been waiting for her people for so long. Oscar is friendly and open to both people and other dogs. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on");. Achtung Herzensbrecher! Linos war in einem ganz schlimmen Zustand, als die Helfer der Gemeinde ihn vom Tierarzt der Insel abholten, um ihn in die Auffangstation zu bringen. Bis auf die Knochen runter gehungert, hatte er scheinbar die ersten Monate seines noch jungen Lebens auf der Straße verbracht in der Hoffnung von Touristen gefüttert zu werden oder Abfallreste in den Mülltonnen der Insel zu finden. In den ersten Wochen in der Auffangstation rührte sich der hübsche Junghund kaum vom Fleck, blieb wie erstarrt in seinem Gehege und ließ sich nicht anfassen. Verkrochen in die äußerste Ecke hoffte er nicht auf noch schlimmeres Unheil. Aber ganz langsam gewann er Vertrauen in die Helfer, die ihm täglich gut zusprachen und ihn fütterten. Linos erholte sich jedoch gut. Er nahm ordentlich zu und flitzte zusammen mit den anderen Hunden in der Auffangstation ausgelassen über das Gelände. Immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Ein ganz lieber Kerl, etwas zurückhaltend, aber er lässt sich streicheln und freut sich über jeden Besuch. Mittlerweile durfte Linos nach Deutschland einreisen. Er ist geimpft, gechipt und kastriert. Linos ist derzeit in einem kleinen, familiären Tierheim in Kelheim untergebracht und kann dort besucht werden. Wenn Sie sich für Linos interessieren, schreiben Sie bitte eine E-Mail mit Ihren persönlichen Angaben und Ihrer Telefonnummer an die Tierheimleiterin Nadine Bahr: . Noch mehr Hunde suchen ein Zuhause... Oscar ist nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch anderen Hunden gegenüber freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Mia San möchte endlich ein ruhiges Körbchen für sich. Milly wartet schon so lange auf ihre Menschen. Maya möchte endlich ihr eigenes Zuhause haben. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on"); }

About Vorlage mit Video

What life with Vorlage mit Video looks like

Vorlage mit Video is a small young adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vorlage mit Video, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vorlage mit Video?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vorlage mit Video on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vorlage mit Video if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vorlage mit Video already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vorlage mit Video isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vorlage mit Video and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
