WACIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

Can you lose your entire world in a single moment? Wacik knows you can. After the death of his beloved owner, he lost his home, his sense of security, and the person he’d loved all his life. Today, he’s about eight years old and is waiting for someone who will show him that happiness can follow even after sadness. Wacik is a small dog with a beautiful reddish-beige coat, a bright little face, and eyes full of warmth. There’s something incredibly endearing about him—just spending a few moments in his company is enough to feel how kind and gentle this dog is. He’s very friendly and open to human contact. He eagerly approaches for petting, seeks closeness and attention, yet he’s never pushy. It’s clear, though, that his presence brings him immense joy. He loves being nearby, observing, accompanying people in their daily activities, and simply feeling like he’s part of someone’s life. One of Wacik’s greatest joys is going for walks. He walks beautifully on a leash and explores the world with great curiosity. Every walk is an adventure for him. New scents, tracks left by other animals, the rustle of grass, or a breeze carrying unfamiliar aromas—all these things are fascinating and worth discovering. Wacik doesn’t rush ahead; he strolls calmly, nose close to the ground, soaking up the world with all his senses. You can see that these moments bring him real pleasure. He’s a well-behaved, balanced, and easygoing dog. He doesn’t need big thrills or endless activity. More than anything, he dreams of a peaceful home, his own cozy bed, daily walks, and a person he can trust again. Throughout his life, Wacik has lived with another dog—Balbinka. She’s an older female dog, and together they’ve formed a close bond over many years. They grew up together, shared everyday life, rested side by side, and experienced both good times and difficult moments. So Wacik is a dog who knows exactly what it’s like to live alongside another dog—and he cherishes that kind of companionship. Despite his tough experiences, Wacik hasn’t closed himself off from people. He still trusts, still wags his tail at the sight of a human, and still believes that someone will come for him. Every day, he watches eagerly for his chance—a chance for someone who’ll look at him and see not just a small reddish dog, but a loyal friend ready to love with all his heart. Let’s not let another month pass by while he waits. We’re looking for a responsible, loving home for Wacik—one that will never let him down again. If you’re searching for a calm, gentle, and faithful companion, Wacik could be exactly the dog you’ve been missing in your life. Contact us to get to know Wacik better. Maybe somewhere out there, there’s a person who’s been waiting just for him.

Wacik to niewielki psiak o pięknym, rudobeżowym umaszczeniu, jasnym pyszczku i oczach pełnych ciepła.

About WACIK

What life with WACIK looks like

WACIK is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting WACIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about WACIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw WACIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt WACIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is WACIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if WACIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know WACIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
