Wanda Wohnungskatze

European Shorthair · Female · Young · 2 years

Wilma and Wanda - two sisters who are only happy together Wilma and Wanda are two very special sisters who came to our animal shelter as stray cats. Both are about 1-2 years old, spayed, and are very close to each other. Therefore, it is clear to us that Wilma and Wanda will only be adopted together. Two sisters, a well-rehearsed team Wilma and Wanda give each other security and orientation. Both are currently still a bit shy and reserved, but they already let themselves be stroked and show that they are slowly gaining trust in people. We are looking for people for them who give them the necessary time to arrive and do not expect them to immediately approach their new people with confidence. With calmness, patience, and loving attention, they will certainly thaw further. Wanda sees the world a little differently Wanda unfortunately only has one eye and even on this eye her vision is not 100% available. Nevertheless, she copes well with her situation and should of course be able to lead a safe and stress-free life. Therefore, we clearly wish for both a home in apartment keeping. Wilma and Wanda should stay together and be allowed to develop at their own pace in a safe environment. A quiet home for two furry friends For the two sisters, we wish for people who understand their initial shyness and give them time. A quiet household, cozy retreats, and patient people would be ideal for Wilma and Wanda. Whoever wants to give the two sisters the chance of a loving forever home together will get a very special cat double pack: two sisters who give each other support and want to go through life together. In case of serious interest, we would be happy to arrange an appointment for you to meet the two sisters.

About Wanda Wohnungskatze

What life with Wanda Wohnungskatze looks like

Wanda Wohnungskatze is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wanda Wohnungskatze, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wanda Wohnungskatze?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wanda Wohnungskatze on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wanda Wohnungskatze if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Wanda Wohnungskatze already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wanda Wohnungskatze isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wanda Wohnungskatze and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
