Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! His start in life was anything but secure. Wanknobi was found on an open field with his mother and six siblings, without protection or care. It is all the more beautiful to see that he has preserved his open and affectionate nature. Recently, the little fellow moved into a loving temporary family and is getting to know life in a real home step by step. He enjoys the company of people very much and shows himself to be particularly affectionate and attached. His calm nature and loving character distinguish him particularly. Wanknobi gets along very well with other dogs and manages well in a dog group. Appropriately for his age, he still has puppy-like fantasies in his head - especially socks are currently very interesting to him. Therefore, he needs loving, consistent boundaries and clear, calm guidance. However, Wanknobi already shows what is inside him - a small model student who demonstrates quick comprehension and great willingness to learn. The cute puppy is already housebroken and walks obediently on a leash and harness. He travels calmly and relaxedly in the car. Also, being alone works fairly well with a well-filled Kong and is practiced diligently. Wanknobi initially carefully considers new situations at his own pace. However, once he is given the necessary time, he gradually becomes more open and gains confidence. A visit to a positively working dog school would be a wonderful opportunity to gain further experiences and build a strong bond and trust. For Wanknobi, we wish a sensitive home where he can arrive in peace and his humans give him security, patience, clear structures, and lots of attention. Although Wanknobi has already learned a lot, he will still have to learn some new things. Especially when puberty approaches soon. Then it might get a bit wobbly in his head and it seems almost as if everything he has learned is forgotten. At that time, a stable environment with routines and structure is very valuable. It is possible that he has a part of a herding dog instinct. Dogs of this type are often independent, observe a lot, and make decisions themselves. They are not dogs that simply "function," but need people who lead calmly, clearly, and reliably. A life in the middle of the city, a lot of noise, or constantly changing stimuli usually do not fit them well. Wanknobi prefers a quiet, stable environment, ideally in the countryside, where he can orient himself. Wanknobi is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and comes with his EU pet passport. Since he is still too young, he is currently not neutered. After a positive pre-check, he can move into his new home for a fee. Has Wanknobi already crept into your heart? Then please contact us. Many thanks to his godmother Anja D. You gave Wanknobi his special name. Date: 13.05.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 13.05.2026

About Wanknobi

What life with Wanknobi looks like

Wanknobi is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wanknobi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wanknobi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wanknobi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wanknobi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wanknobi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wanknobi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wanknobi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
