Welpenbub

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Collin - COLLIN - wants to be loved - born around 01/2025, probably growing up, vaccinated, chipped, EU passport. - Still waiting in Romania - Before departure test for Babesiose, Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Dirofilaria and Leishmaniasis. Collin was found together with his brothers Cody and Claire and mom Cora (see www.sos-strassentiere.de) near the rescue station of our animal rescuer. Apparently they were abandoned there in "good faith" - hoping that someone would take care of the little family. And of course, they did ... Collin, his siblings and mom Cora now live at the rescue station. As expected, they are still a bit uncertain. In the kennel they feel safe and show themselves quite openly. When it was time for the first photoshoot on the open area, they were overwhelmed by this new situation, the many new smells and sounds and kept their distance and explored everything with the necessary caution. Within their familiar surroundings, they drop this uncertainty, make contact with their caregivers and let themselves be stroked. The handsome Collin will quickly gain trust in strangers with a little patience and lots of love and develop into a stately and loyal family dog. Of course, Collin also needs to learn the basics of dog training and should therefore attend dog school together with his new family. We wish Collin an experienced, empathetic home with a garden. Also a foster home is desired. Collin is still in Romania. - Cost contribution

About Welpenbub

What life with Welpenbub looks like

Welpenbub is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Welpenbub, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Welpenbub?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Welpenbub on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Welpenbub if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Welpenbub already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Welpenbub isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Welpenbub and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
