Then you are left old and tied up. That happened to this senior Staffordshire manke. New start, new name: Whiskey! Whiskey is an American Staffordshire of about 9 years (estimated age), but despite his age, Whiskey is surprisingly fit and active. He likes to go for walks, enjoys playing outside, and can fully let himself out with a ball. Especially digging with his ball is one of his favorite activities; he can really enjoy it intensely. He is also very fond of food! Whiskey is a social dog who likes to make contact with people. That's why we expect him to be placed with children from about 10 years old, provided they know how to interact with dogs calmly and respectfully. He is searching for a loving home where he can be part of the family and receive enough attention and exercise. In the shelter, Whiskey shows a lot of restlessness. Therefore, we are not sure how he reacts when he has to stay alone at home. It is therefore important that his new owner invests in this and can guide him calmly and with patience. Whiskey is not a fan of other dogs, especially on walks he can react. We are therefore looking for a home where no other animals are present. Staff are working on improving his behavior towards other dogs. Whiskey has been diagnosed with mild spondylosis in his back. However, this is so minimal that no treatment is currently necessary. En dan wordt je op je oude dag, vastgebonden achtergelaten. Dat overkwam dit senior stafford manneke. Nieuwe start, nieuwe naam: Whiskey! Whiskey is een amerikaanse stafford van ongeveer 9 jaar (geschatte leeftijd), maar ondanks zijn leeftijd is Whiskey nog verrassend fit en actief. Hij gaat graag mee wandelen, vindt het heerlijk om buiten te spelen en kan zich helemaal uitleven met een bal. Vooral graven met zijn bal is één van zijn favoriete bezigheden; daar kan hij echt intens van genieten. Hij is trouwens ook dol op eten! Whiskey is naar mensen een sociale hond die graag contact maakt. Daarom verwachten we dat hij geplaatst kan worden bij kinderen vanaf ongeveer 10 jaar, mits zij weten hoe ze rustig en respectvol met honden omgaan. Hij is opzoek naar een liefdevol thuis waar hij deel mag uitmaken van het gezin en voldoende aandacht en beweging krijgt. In de opvang laat Whiskey wel veel onrust zien. Daardoor weten we niet goed hoe hij reageert wanneer hij alleen thuis moet blijven. Het is daarom belangrijk dat zijn nieuwe eigenaar hierin wil investeren en hem hierin rustig en met geduld kan begeleiden. Whiskey is niet zo fan van andere honden, met name op reuen kan hij reageren. Wij zoeken daarom een huisje waar geen andere dieren vertoeven. De medewerkers werken aan het verbeteren van zijn gedrag tegenover andere honden. Bij Whiskey is spondylose in zijn rug geconstateerd. Echter is dit nog zo minimaal dat er op dit moment geen behandeling voor nodig is. Zin in Whiskey, maar niet in een kater? Dan is deze Whiskey misschien wel de beste keuze die je kunt maken!
