Whoopie

Female · Senior · 13 years

Hello, I am Whoopie, I was brought here because of a misunderstanding with an allergy. Don't worry, I don't have an allergy, but rather my former owners. At first, I was a bit reserved here, but that's to be expected, right? I mean, moving to a completely new environment all of a sudden, I had to get used to it. Now, I've settled in very well and have developed trust with my caretakers, so I'm happy to snuggle sometimes. In my old home, I had a cat flap, so I could come and go as I pleased, and I thought that was fantastic. In my new home, I don't want to be denied a roam either, or else I'll be grumpy. What I'm good at is opening doors, so you always have to be careful that I don't accidentally get out on my own. So if you're looking for a nice, friendly, and calm cat, then I'm the perfect fit. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

Eure Whoopie

About Whoopie

What life with Whoopie looks like

Whoopie is a senior cat waiting at Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. in Remagen.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

Frequently asked

Adopting Whoopie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Whoopie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Whoopie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Whoopie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Whoopie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Whoopie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Whoopie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
