Wicked

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

A female Abgabetier/Freigang was born approximately 2022, EKH, neutered yes/no, in the shelter since 11.07.2026. ________________________ We test each cat with a rapid test for FIV ("cat aids", information here!) and FeLV ("cat leukemia", information here!) and clarify the status. We inform here about the risk of FIP disease ("peritoneal inflammation"). ________________________ Wicked unfortunately came from a She is an initially very cautious, reserved cat lady who needs time, but then she melts beautifully and also seeks the closeness of her people. Originally she came from a farm, but she has also already been able to gather many good experiences in living together with people and shows herself to be quite open. In a patient home, she will certainly make many further good progress. At the end of 2025, Wicked had a FIP disease with us and survived it superbly, she is doing well and her immune system is stable. There is nothing against her being able to lead a normal cat life! She gets along well with other cats and is tolerant, but does not constantly seek their proximity. A relaxed first cat that does not pressure her is conceivable, but not a must. We are looking for a home for her with the possibility of moving around in a safe, rather rural environment in the open, but initially being introduced to the human safely and patiently and building up even more trust. It is so very much to be wished for the sweet cat with the elegant pattern that she finally finds a permanent place that gives her a lot of love and lifelong happiness! ________________________ (Stand 06.08.2026) (Click on the pictures to see them in full size!) The description reflects the current status, but we reserve the right to make changes or reassessments. It can always happen that an animal shows itself or develops differently both here in the animal shelter and in the new home due to changed circumstances. About Wicked

What life with Wicked looks like

Wicked is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wicked, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wicked?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wicked on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wicked if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wicked already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wicked isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wicked and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
