Wilde Hummel Carly

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 19 months

Carly has been with us at our shelter since April 2026. She is basic commands present, can stay alone, is house-trained, and gets along well by sympathy. She is leash-friendly, but a leash poacher, and we still need to work on her frustration tolerance. She is clingy and loves to cuddle. Carly was surrendered to us because her owner, due to an illness, is no longer able to properly care for her. The female dog is a friendly and cheerful nature, spreading good cheer everywhere. She kisses for her life and is just happy to be there! She knows how to stay alone for a few hours and is also house-trained. Carly has a lot of energy and would like to go on long walks or do dog sports. However, a lot still needs to be worked on with her leash aggression. Carly is generally compatible with other dogs, but she behaves like a little devil when on the leash. She does, however, orient well to her primary caregiver if clear boundaries are set from the start. When she gets really frustrated, she can also snap at the leash, so Carly needs most of all one thing in training: calmness. Carly is a smart, eager-to-learn female dog. She has already discovered the agility equipment and responds well to treats and motivating words. For Carly, we are looking for people who, unlike the wild honeybee, have found their inner center and can offer her the orientation she still needs with a lot of patience and a longer breath. Small children, small pets, and cats should not live in her new home due to her stormy nature and prey drive. If Carly has caught your interest, please feel free to contact us by mail or phone. Carly is eagerly waiting!

Carly wartet schon ganz gespannt!

About Wilde Hummel Carly

What life with Wilde Hummel Carly looks like

Wilde Hummel Carly is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Oldenburg in Oldenburg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wilde Hummel Carly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wilde Hummel Carly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Oldenburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wilde Hummel Carly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wilde Hummel Carly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Oldenburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wilde Hummel Carly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wilde Hummel Carly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Oldenburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wilde Hummel Carly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
