Will

Collie · Male · Adult · 4 years

Microchip 972274001182985 Our stunning boy, Will, was sadly surrendered to the sanctuary through no fault of his own. Will is a very affectionate boy who adores people. As he is a collie, he is super clever, playful & full of energy. He is excellent on lead and a joy to walk. Will would love a home that understands his breed & can give him the structure, exercise & stimulation he needs to thrive. Poor Will has had a lot of upheaval the last few months, so will need some time and patience to settle into a new home – where he can learn to trust again. Will would be best suited as the only dog in the home (as that's what he was previously used to) An active home that can give him regular exercise, stimulation & of course playtime! Best suited to an Adult only home No cats or small furries please!

About Will

What life with Will looks like

Will is a small adult collie dog waiting at Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary in Dublin.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Will, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Will?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Will on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Will if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Will already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Will isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Will and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
