Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Willow is a beautiful two-year-old tabby who came to us alongside her litter of kittens. The kittens were unwanted and were being given away for free, and Willow was handed in with them. It’s a story we see far too often, and it says nothing about Willow herself. She did everything asked of her and more, and now it’s her turn to be looked after.Willow was a calm, attentive mother who raised her kittens with real patience and dedication. Her kittens are now weaned, and Willow has been spayed in line with our policy before rehoming, so her days of motherhood are behind her. That same gentle, steady nature is what she’ll bring to her new home. She’s a young cat with plenty of life ahead of her, and she deserves the chance to rest, relax and be the centre of someone’s attention for a change.

About Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own

What life with Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own looks like

Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodlands Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodlands Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodlands Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Willow A devoted young mum ready for a life of her own and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
