Willow

Mixed Breed · Male

Willow – Tender Soul Seeks a Loving Home Willow is a young mixed-breed female dog with a particularly gentle nature. When she was found at the train station, she was scared, lost, and completely unsettled. But since she has been in the care of the animal shelter Nirina in Tuzla, more and more of what she truly has inside is showing: a loving, cautious, and incredibly sweet female dog who simply wants to be loved. Willow is friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. New situations and the loud, hectic world still unsettle her a bit, so she needs people who can show her with patience and calm that she is safe. Walking on a leash is currently still being practiced – but Willow is young, attentive, and eager to learn. Despite her sensitive nature, Willow is a sporty female dog who wants to be both physically and mentally challenged. Spots in nature, shared activities, and loving mental stimulation will help her gain confidence and channel her energy into positive directions. For Willow, we wish for a quiet home, ideally in the countryside, where she can build trust step by step. With the right primary caregiver by her side, she will develop into a loyal, gentle companion who is unconditionally bonded to her person. Willow brings everything that makes a big dog heart special; she just needs someone to show her how wonderful life can be. Who will give this special female dog the chance at a foster home? Willow travels neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and with an international pet passport from Bosnia. All our dogs are only placed after a positive. About Willow

What life with Willow looks like

Willow is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. in Linden.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Willow, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Willow?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Willow on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Willow if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Willow already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Willow isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Willow and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
