Willow

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Willow has found a home! His story: Willow, Furby, and Prince are three beautiful, bright brothers currently living in the winter-cold and overcrowded Public Shelter in Bai Mare. And now, all three hope with full confidence for the chance to lead a good life with friendly and animal-loving people who will take care of the little ones and stay by their side forever. The sweet brothers are approximately 4.5 months old and have become lively, playful, and trusting puppies. They love people and enjoy being stroked and spoiled. Still, the puppies are just cute puppy babies, from which nothing can be expected yet. Of course, they have not yet experienced life in a house, but they will certainly try to learn the whole puppy 1×1 in no time. In a few months, the handsome boys will likely grow into strong and lively puppies, who, especially during puberty, will require a good portion of mental stimulation, patience, and consistent training from their people. Therefore, we recommend that future adopters visit a positively working dog training class. The sweet Willow has short, white fur and big, light-blonde floppy ears. With striking, amber eyes, he looks confidently into his future. It is likely that the handsome puppy will grow into a medium to large male dog, who will certainly attract many admiring glances. If you are interested in the wonderful and loving Willow, contact us. He can be microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and in possession of an EU pet passport to travel to his new home. After a positive placement check, he will be rehomed for an adoption fee of 500 Euros. We would also be very happy to offer foster care for the Willow as a starting point in his new, better life. Our thanks go to the namesake Waltraut G., who gave Willow his name and thus the prerequisite for adoption by animal-loving people. As of: 20.03.

Stand: 20.03.2025

About Willow

What life with Willow looks like

Willow is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Willow, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Willow?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Willow on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Willow if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Willow already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Willow isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Willow and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
