Willy will eine echte Chance

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Willy is looking for people who can provide him with security. Willy came to the shelter because his owners were unable to care for him due to illness. Unfortunately, no one has really invested time in teaching or specifically promoting him in his previous life. As a result, he was not able to develop self-confidence or trust in human leadership. Willy has learned that he must handle many things himself. This is especially evident on the leash: He bullies other dogs and takes responsibility because he believes no one else will. However, without a leash, a completely different picture emerges - Willy has very good social behavior and gets along with his fellow dogs. For Willy, we are looking for dog-experienced people with patience, consistency, and a calm, confident demeanor. He observes people very closely and quickly recognizes whether someone can give him security. With people who lead him clearly, fairly, and consistently, Willy is a motivated student who likes to take responsibility and work together with great pleasure. People who are insecure or very lenient, on the other hand, do not take Willy seriously. With consistent caregivers, he flourishes and builds a close bond. He wants to please and works willingly with these people. In everyday life, Willy shows his pleasant side: He can easily stay alone for up to four hours, likes to drive in the car, and is very affectionate, clingy, and loving with his caregivers. Willy already knows teenagers. So far, he has had no experience with younger children. We would like to test whether he can live with cats or small animals if there is serious interest. We are now looking for people who know that Willy still has a lot of work ahead of him, leash training, frustration tolerance and needs to calm down. Will needs a quiet environment with guidance and loving consistency to finally bring out the good guy in him. Attending dog school should be mandatory. Will needs a chance to show that he is not only beautiful but also has many talents and skills inside of him. Willy is not a dog for beginners. However, anyone who approaches him with clear leadership, patience, and understanding will get a really good dog. Back to our animals Become a sponsor

About Willy will eine echte Chance

What life with Willy will eine echte Chance looks like

Willy will eine echte Chance is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Koblenz in Koblenz.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Willy will eine echte Chance, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Willy will eine echte Chance?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Koblenz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Willy will eine echte Chance on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Willy will eine echte Chance if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Koblenz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Willy will eine echte Chance already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Willy will eine echte Chance isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Koblenz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Willy will eine echte Chance and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
