adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Winni has found her home! Her story: Winni, Finya, Jola, and Kanela are four beautiful sisters waiting in a private shelter in Baia Mare for loving adopters to take them home and show them how wonderful life can be. The little Winni is only about two months old and has likely not experienced much goodness in her short life. She was abandoned and left by heartless people or perhaps she was born on the street and never had a real home. But Winni had a stroke of luck and was found, frightened and with skin problems, under a bridge with her sisters and rescued. Winni is a particularly cute puppy girl with short, gray-brown spotted fur. The triangular, small ears and the black, moist eyeballs give her a playful and attentive look. She is expected to reach a medium size and will fit into any loving family. For now, Winni is simply a wonderful and sweet puppy that wants to be loved and protected. She is friendly and cuddly, loves all people and dogs, and will surely try to make everything right in her new home, even though she doesn't yet know what family life is like. Winni's puberty won't be far off, and this is also a time for dogs when the foundations for the rest of her life are set. We therefore recommend that her new family work with a positively trained dog training class. Patient and loving training will strengthen Winni's character and the bond with her trusted people. Through regular contact with fellow animals and many positive experiences with her people, Winni will quickly learn the 1×1 for a wonderful family dog and develop into a happy and reliable companion. Do you have a warm dog bed and a place in your heart for the pretty Winni? Then contact us! We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the pretty, little Winni. We thank Claudia M. heartily for naming Winni and giving her a unique identity. Status: 03.07. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 03.07.2025

About Winni

What life with Winni looks like

Winni is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Winni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Winni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Winni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Winni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Winni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Winni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Winni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
