BackgroundThis young girl is Winny. Winny is a beautiful mixed breed Boxer/Stafford female dog, born in March 2025. She came to us after an impound. We can now start looking for a motivated, active home for her. Winny lived together with her brother Thor. CharacterWinny is a gentle, energetic, and loving girl. She has an open character and quickly makes contact with new people. She is young and very energetic. Daily physical activities, playtime, brain games, and walks are certainly needed to make her happy. She also needs to learn some necessary rest. She is already getting used to a crate but has had a negative experience with it. However, she now goes in quite well with the door open. We do not force anything! Training must continue step-by-step and calmly. She seems clean. It is certainly necessary to have a well-fenced yard so that she can ventilate there daily. She does well on a leash, although she can also pull strongly. Positive training must be used here as well. She does not react well to other dogs. She lived together with her brother Thor and still likes to play with him. We have also matched her with another large male dog, and she was friendly towards him. She needs a steady companion because she enjoys rough play. PlacementWinny is looking for an active, motivated home that is willing to invest a lot of time and energy in her. At the beginning, she still needs extra guidance around being alone, going for a quiet walk, etc. We think she will pick it up quickly in a stable home environment. She can be placed well as a single dog or where someone already has a larger, neutered male dog. Then a matching will take place in our animal shelter. With cats, she seems trainable. AchtergrondDit jonge meisje is Winny. Winny is een prachtige kruising Boxer/Stafford teef, geboren in maart 2025. Ze kwam na een inbeslagname bij ons terecht. We mogen nu op zoek gaan naar een gemotiveerde, actieve thuis voor haar. Winny leefde samen met haar broer Thor. KarakterWinny is een zachtaardige, energieke en lieve meid. Ze heeft een open karakter en legt vlot contact met nieuwe mensen. Ze is jong en erg energiek. Dagelijkse fysieke bezigheden, spelmomenten, hersenwerkjes en wandelingen zijn zeker nodig om haar gelukkig te maken. Ook de nodige verplichte rust moet ze aanleren. Ze leert al wennen aan een bench maar heeft er ook een negatieve ervaring mee. Toch gaat ze er nu wel flink in met het deurtje open. We forceren niets! Benchtraining moet wel stapsgewijs en rustig aan verdergezet worden. Ze lijkt wel zindelijk. Het is het zeker nodig om in het bezit te zijn van een goed omheinde tuin zodat ze hier dagelijks in kan ventileren. Wandelen aan de leiband doet ze goed, al kan ze ook stevig aan de lijn trekken. Hier moet je ook met een positieve training mee aan de slag. Naar andere honden reageert ze niet. Ze leefde samen met haar broer Thor en speelt hier ook graag mee. We hebben haar ook al gematched met een andere grote reu, ook hier was ze vriendelijk naar. Ze heeft wel een stevige kameraad nodig aangezien ze nogal van ruw spel houdt. PlaatsingWinny zoekt een actieve, gemotiveerde thuis die veel tijd en energie in haar willen steken. In het begin heeft ze toch wel extra sturing nodig rond alleen blijven, rustig wandelen,… We denken wel dat ze dit in een stabiele thuisomgeving wel vlot zal oppikken.Ze kan prima geplaatst worden als hond alleen of waar men al een grotere, steriele reu heeft. Dan volgt er een matching in ons asiel. Bij katten lijkt hij wel stuurbaar.Winny is een schat van een hond maar heeft toch wel ervaring nodig. Mensen die weten hoe ze met een hond aan de slag moeten gaan, op een positieve en beloningsgerichte manier. Kinderen vanaf 10 jaar kunnen ook komen kennismaken.
