Wolfi

Female · Young · 3 years

Hello there, I'm Wolfi! My previous owner had to go to the hospital for a long time. Unfortunately, she didn't know if she could take care of me after her hospital stay. That's why she decided to find me a new home and brought me to the animal shelter Remagen. Here, I've met many new and friendly people, my new caretakers! They've taken care of me and shown me so much. I came from an apartment and was always a single cat there. So I'm not quite sure how to handle my fellow animals yet. But I do love to snuggle and play. Just no rough snuggling! If I'm pushed too hard, I can also be a "cat." A new home with loving, cat-experienced people and preferably without small children would be great. Also, after my settling-in period, I'd love to explore the big wide world. So if you're interested in a young and active cat, feel free to contact the animal shelter Remagen. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Hallöchen hier bin ich! Wolfi! Eure Wolfi

About Wolfi

What life with Wolfi looks like

Wolfi is a large young adult cat waiting at Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. in Remagen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wolfi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wolfi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wolfi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wolfi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wolfi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wolfi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wolfi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
