Die schüchterne Hündin kann mit Menschen zurzeit noch nicht viel anfangen und ist noch zurückhaltend. Sie hat einfach Angst. Mit ihren 5 Jahren ist sie 45 cm groß und wiegt rund 17 kg. Das Shelter ist eine große Herausforderung für sie. Wie gerne hätte sie ein Bettchen in einem warmen Zuhause mit Menschen, die sie lieben. Dieser Gedanke lässt sie weitermachen und sich nicht komplett aufgeben. Wir sind uns sicher, sobald Xena Vertrauen in ihre Menschen gefasst hat, wird sie eine ganz tolle Begleiterin und wird die Regeln eines Haushaltes schnell verstehen. Als wir sehr kennenlernten hat sie sich anfangs noch komplett verkrochen, in den folgenden Tagen kam sie ein wenig mehr aus sich heraus und traute sich aus ihrer Hütte und steckte sogar neugierig die Nase durch die Gitterstäbe und holte sich ein Leckerli. Nach einer für sie angemessenen Eingewöhnungszeit wäre ein Besuch einer ausschließlich positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule für sie denkbar, um mit Artgenossen zu spielen und mit dir gemeinsam das Hunde ABC zu erlernen. Dies fördert auch die Bindung zwischen Mensch und Hund. Die wundervolle Hündin braucht Zeit, um in die Menschen Vertrauen zu fassen, deshalb solltest du ihr mit sehr viel Geduld und noch mehr Empathie zur Seite stehen. Sie versteht sich mit ihren Artgenossen sehr gut. Katzen kennt sie nicht und können auch nicht getestet werden. Xena reist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie bringt ihren EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro zu ihrer Familie reisen. Auch eine Pflegestelle würde Xena sehr helfen.
