Yaris

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Yaris was born on December 27, 2023. He has been vaccinated and microchipped according to EU standards. He is compatible with dogs but not yet known for compatibility with cats. Yaris currently lives in our shelter in Romania. Despite the difficult life there, he showed himself to be a dog full of trust, warmth, and love during our visit. From the first moment, Yaris sought human contact. He approached us openly, friendly, and without any fear, as if we had known him for a long time. He is one of those dogs who do not have to fight loudly for attention. His gentle nature, calm demeanor, and big heart speak for him. Our staff describe Yaris as exceptionally well-behaved, obedient, and uncomplicated. He is a dog that wants to please and visibly enjoys the company of his humans. At the same time, he radiates a special calmness that immediately touches you. One should not forget that he is still very young and therefore agile and dynamic. And then there are his eyes. Looking into Yaris's eyes, one immediately recognizes his soul. They tell of hope, trust, and the desire to finally arrive. These are eyes that do not ask what they can get, but simply want to give love. Yaris is one of the friendliest dogs in our shelter - which means something, because all our dogs are wonderful souls. But Yaris has this special something that is hard to put into words. You just have to experience him. We wish for people who recognize his big heart and give him a chance at a home of his own. A home where he can finally belong, but also one where patience is shown and no expectations are made, but rather he is allowed to settle in peacefully. He will enrich this home every day with his loyalty, love, and gentle nature. Anyone who meets Yaris will not forget him. Maybe he is waiting for you. Almost all our dogs show themselves to be extremely friendly towards people, dogs, and cats in Romania. Nevertheless, it should be considered that all dogs must be educated and integrated into family life in their new homes. If you would like to give Yaris a home, please call one of our phone numbers: In a personal conversation, we can answer questions and discuss our mediation criteria. Our dogs are preferably placed within 50 miles of Tholey

Man muss ihn einfach erleben.

About Yaris

What life with Yaris looks like

Yaris is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at TierOase ThoMa e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yaris, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yaris?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. TierOase ThoMa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yaris on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yaris if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — TierOase ThoMa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yaris already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yaris isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with TierOase ThoMa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yaris and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
