Adopt Yeimi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

FEMALE, born approx. 12/2025, friendly - social - affectionate. In Spain Yeimi is a Perro de Aqua (Water Poodle) - Mix dog, who will reach a medium size. Yeimi was abandoned with her two sisters, who were three puppies that wandered aimlessly and completely confused. They did not know where they suddenly found themselves without their mother and how they could get food. Fortunately, residents noticed the three disoriented puppies and called a small animal shelter because they knew that the animal rescuer there takes care of every abandoned dog. The kind animal rescuer found the three puppies at the specified location and could easily lure them with some food. The small trio was so hungry that they could be safely secured immediately. Now they are in a small animal shelter and show themselves there as typical puppies, friendly, social and playful. They are compatible with male dogs, female dogs and also cats. The Perro de Aqua is a cheerful dog who likes to learn and usually enjoys activities such as Agility, Fetching, Search and Water Games. We are looking for people for Yeimi who enjoy teaching this active and intelligent dog everything a dog needs to know in order to accompany its humans everywhere. Yeimi travels microchipped and vaccinated to Germany. She is currently in Seville/Spain. If you would like to give Yeimi a home, please fill out the contact form. The adoption fee is 460 Euros. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V.. Created with Wix.

About Yeimi

What life with Yeimi looks like

Yeimi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yeimi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yeimi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yeimi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yeimi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yeimi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yeimi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yeimi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
